Above & Beyond

Schubach Aviation operates one of Southern California’s foremost private aircraft fleets, meticulously maintained at Palomar Airport and Lindbergh Field. For 30 years, we have been a dedicated partner to corporate and personal travelers, offering both aircraft management and on-demand charter service with unlimited global reach. We set the standard for flying private, with an uncompromising commitment to safety, absolute reliability and an individualized approach to client care and comfort that far exceeds industry standards.

Founded in 1992 by Henry Schubach, a professional pilot who personally flew clients for more than two decades, Schubach Aviation was established with a single Cheyenne II aircraft. While we’ve grown considerably since, we continue to operate with the same integrity and intention, guided by Henry’s passionate pursuit of excellence and enduring relationship-based approach to business.

Now under the leadership of owner and CEO Kimberly Herrell, a 17+ year team member and aviation industry veteran, Schubach Aviation has entered a new era of success – always going one step beyond to deliver ease and true peace of mind while keeping our values at the center of all that we do.

HENRY SCHUBACH
FOUNDER

Founder Henry Schubach leveraged his extensive aviation experience to establish Schubach Aviation in 1992, with a single Cheyenne II aircraft. Since then, the company has steadily grown in size— it now operates San Diego’s largest fleet of charter aircraft.

Henry is known for his tenaciousness and refreshing relationship-based approach to business— he is committed to his customers and has instilled a customer service-centric culture at Schubach. His candor is well-known and sought after by our longtime clients, many of San Diego’s industry leaders.

At Schubach, he has made philanthropy a principal tenet. Henry’s abiding love of dogs has prompted initiatives that benefit local animal welfare organizations, including the Helen Woodward Animal Center and Shelter to Soldier. By way of Schubach’s charitable giving he’s also inspired clients to give back.

Since taking his first flying lesson in 1974, Henry has accrued more than 20,000 flight hours. He no longer flies professionally, but enjoyed captaining our Challengers and Gulfstream IV. His favorite flight destination is Hawaii.
