It is no mystery why Schubach Aviation is San Diego’s first choice for private air charter service.

Since 1992, Schubach Aviation has been leading the private aviation industry in San Diego with their knowledge, technology, and aircraft. They operate San Diego’s largest fleet of corporate jets, which they maintain at Palomar Airport and Lindberg Field. Schubach flies customers to Europe, the Middle East, Central & South America, Asia and other destinations on the schedule that works best for them, day or night.

We experienced this convenience firsthand when we chose to fly to Santa Fe, New Mexico with our pet dog, Winky and had a safe and comfortable flight with all first class amenities to. We drove directly onto the tarmac where our pilots greeted us. Our bags were loaded on the jet, the car was valeted and we immediately departed on our flight to Santa Fe. The aircraft was the ultimate in luxury and comfort where we enjoyed beverages and a catered meal from our private lounge 25,000 feet up. We saw firsthand the personal attention that Schubach Aviation’s owner Henry Schubach shares with his team members and the warm welcome they gave to us and our pet.

Henry’s passion for flying and his dedication to business integrity are matched only by his love of dogs. His dogs; Bob, a Golden Retriever and Brailey, a black Lab mix, are the driving force behind the company’s commitment to supporting local animal welfare organizations such as FACE Foundation. The company also gives back to non-profits that benefit children and the U.S. Military.

Once in Santa Fe, our car was waiting on the tarmac, our bags were transferred and we were on our way to the Old world charm of the historic hotel in Santa Fe, La Fonda Hotel. Since 1607 when Santa Fe was founded, an in or “fonda” has sat on the same corner of the Plaza at the end of the historic Santa Fe Trail. Over the years, the hotel was destroyed and re-built several times over and the current was built in 1922 and has been newly renovated with award-winning architecture, decor, unique artwork, warm hospitality, excellent service and modern amenities that made us feel at home.

Our stay was a dream, the rooms and suites are lovely and welcoming. The award-winning La Plazuela dining room is filled with natural light and 460 hand-painted windows. We enjoyed the flavors of Northern New Mexico classics with locally sourced organic meats and produce menu created by Chef Lane Warner.

Location, history, charm and remarkable hospitality made our stay at La Fonda memorable and the direct flight to Santa Fe with service, safety, and more private aircraft options made this a perfect ESCAPADITA.
