Since its inseption in 1989 the Bombardier Challenger 601 has been crafted for passenger comfort. This wide bodied jet is configured for 9 passengers and can make a non-stop flight between almost any two American cities. With improved flight profile and more efficient engines, the 601 is a vast improvement over the 600. The Challenger 601-1A includes further refinements which allow transoceanic flights while still carrying 9 passengers in comfort and style. Rugged and reliable, the Challenger 601-1A is a perfect choice for a wide variety of travel needs. Continuing expansion of the Challenger paved the way for the 601-3A. First flying in 1987, this variant introduced an EFIS glass flight deck and upgraded engines. Available from 1989, the 601-3R was an extended range model with higher weights.
